Situation:

Challenged to implement zero based budgeting and reduce expenses after buyout transaction.


Action:

Analyzed and categorized over $1 billion in marketing and selling expenses, mapped to new global financial reporting requirements, established new processes and routines for monthly projections and reporting, taught new methodology for annual budget build and ongoing analysis.


Results:

Identified savings and cost reductions of approximately $100 million annually for three years. Hit projections within accuracy KPIs and trained corporate and field personnel on methodology and routines as well as establishing ownership and accountability for spend and budgets.
